Csányi Winery is located on the outskirts of the town of Villány, the predecessor of which, Chateau Teleki Winery was established by Zsigmond Teleki in 1881. The owners considered the traditions important, therefore they left the old system of cellars––now a rarity––almost intact, and built a modern winery above it that meets today’s demands. Even in possession of the technology necessary for progressive wine-production we are not forgetting the well-established traditions, the essence of which is to genuinely reflect the values of the grapes in our wines.
Sauska is a family-owned and operated winery with vineyards in both Tokaj (NE Hungary) and Villany (SW Hungary). We grow indigenous and international grape varieties and use only the power of gravity and ambient yeasts to craft our wines. They run the gamut from sparkling to still; dry to sweet; white, red and rose.
The Bock family has been growing vines and producing wine in the Villány wine region since 1850. A love of wine and the winemaking craft has been handed down from father to son over nine generations. At the beginning of his career József Bock harvested just over 0.5 hectares. Today he processes 145 hectares, producing 36 types of wine.
Hungary’s most famous red wine growing region. In addition to the unique features of the terroir, the soul of the wines and the charm of this wine region is given by centuries-old wine tradition, the famous Villány cooperation, the faith and work of people living here.
