Best value Tokaji Aszú
2013 vintage in Tokaj is one of the best in the past decades. As VinCE Magazine’s latest panel tasting of this vintage proved: marvellous aszú wines were born in this year. The winner of the tasting came from Gróf Degenfeld Estate. The second best wine of the tasting was made by Pajzos Tokaj winery: this 6 puttonyos Tokaji Aszú starts with apricot and honey on the nose, creamy, silky texture characterises the palate and the finish is extremely long with notes of raisins, honey and apricot jam. Great acid–sugar balance. The greatness of the vintage is proved by 5 puttonyos category as well: Dereszla 5 puttonyos Tokaji Aszú is the best value wine of the tasting with 16.90 points for only 5000 HUF (16 euros) retail price. Honey, apricot in its slightly aromatic nose, creamy texture, extremely pure flavours on the palate. Great balance, light and zesty with citrus notes and dried apricot on the finish. It’s time for shopping!
