Great dinners at extra good prices this week
Dining City Restaurant Week is organized every year in Hungary to attract more and more people to enjoy the gastronomic highlights of the country. 3 course menus are offered at set prices: 3300 HUF or 4900 HUF (11 and 16.3 euros) throughout the country in several places joint to the project. This year’s Restaurant Week is already over, but this week, during Restaurant Week Extra – until 15 April– you will have the opportunity to taste discount menues at the 16 best restaurants (the awards are based on 3400 guest reviews). Budapest Bistro is one of the award winning places, it is a relatively new restaurant in the heart of the city, near the Parliament, offering traditional Hungarian dishes. One of the main courses available with the menu is sous-vide pork cellar with cheddar cheese potato, paprika dip and marinated shallot onion. Try it with a lovely Kadarka from Gróf Buttler Winery,Eger. Extremely intense and rich on the nose, in which we meet the character of botrytis (as Tokaji Aszú or Szamorodni). Rich in sweet spices, sweet, fully ripe red and forest fruits. Concentrated, deep, complex, full bodied wine, where the crisp acids give liveliness.
