When Argentina meets Hungary
Hungarian print magazine VinCE holds a panel tasting every month with a different topic. Last month New World wines available in Hungary were evaluated by renowned experts. The winner is a Malbec called Fantástico, and it is made in Argentina, in the sister winery of Haraszthy Winery. Palo Alto in in Mendoza, thus „the soul of Argentina appears in the wine”.It carries the advantages of Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot grapes, it is a wine to enjoy. „It has an intensive violet color. On the nose and on the palate we can find many aromas; vanilla, dried fig, plum-jam, blackcurrant, spices. First the spices then the chocolate dominates.” If you visit Haraszthy Winery in Etyek– just a short drive from the capital –, you will have the chance to taste wines from Mendoza, wines from California (where Tantara, the other sister winery of Haraszthy is located), and of course wines from Etyek.
