Sounds like a prayer, doesn’t it? With reason. On one hand St Andrea Skybar displays the wines of the world with a well chosen selection, and one the other hand the bar concentrates on one single Hungarian winery, but also with an unparalleled range. St. Andrea Winery is situated in Eger wine region, and the artisan wines of the estate have caught the attention of several foreign experts. The name comes from a family story: the founder and chief winemaker, dr György Lőrincz won a wine competition with his own wine before having named his winery. To take the prize, a name needed, and all he could think was his beloved wife, Andrea. His love and his faith has pervaded his work ever since, and it is well displayed in the names of the wines. At Skybar all St Andrea wines are available, even older vintages, magnum bottles and rarities like Mysterium (a small volume wine made of Nebbiolo grape) or St Andrea Ajándék (’Gift’), a late harvest sweet Hárslevelű.
Duck liver lollipop – take life easy
Playfulcreations of dishes are available, just as featherlight as we feel on top of the city. Duck livel lollipop, cold tomato soup with peach, croquettes made of mangalica (a special Hungarian breed of pig), Scottish salmon with cucumber and wasabi or raspberry with joghurt and tarragon.
